A Week In Cyprus

A holiday with a difference! A couple of weeks ago I went to Cyprus, not for a little getaway with my fella, but with a rather large group of people I didn't know for a wedding... (the fella was still there though). It was definitely a different experience, but it was a great experience. More on the wedding in a different post, this one is for Cyprus itself.

The first thing we did as soon as we arrived at the hotel was take a picture of the view from our room. I mean, how could you not? Look at it!

 

We were a bit out of Protaros, but we still had lovely walks along the harbour and down by the beach. We never walked for long though, we only needed to be outside for 5 minutes before sweat was dripping it was that hot (very attractive!).

My favourite day, apart from the wedding day, had to be the day after. We were treated by the happy couple to a boat trip. We were taken to a couple of places; one place where we could jump off cliffs (I'm too much of a wimp for that) and then the blue lagoon where we could partake in water sports. The views were amazing and I can't thank them enough for treating us to that. Best day of the holiday!

 On our last night, the two of us took a trip into Protoras for a romantic meal away from the hotel. As good as the hotel food was, it was nice to have something different and choose from a menu rather than a buffet (and to have proper alcohol). We visited a few bars, our favourite being the Sphinx bar with live entertainment from tribute acts to a comedy drag show, which was brilliant!
